Disclaimer
Privacy
Effective Date: December 1, 2024 | Last updated: October 27, 2026
This Disclaimer applies to all content, readings, workshops, trainings, courses, classes, groups, emails, messages, videos, design work, social media posts and other services provided by Shayla Auld, operating as Cetadora ("I", "me", "my", "Cetadora"). It covers this website and everything I publish or send from it, including my Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, YouTube, newsletter, podcast appearances, client deliverables and direct messages. It forms part of my Terms of Service. By using my website, booking a session or workshop, joining a training, engaging me for design or content work, watching my videos, messaging me, or following my content, you confirm that you have read, understood and accept this Disclaimer. If you do not accept it, please do not book, attend, engage me or use my services.
Short Version
A reading, workshop or training is intuitive and spiritual reflection, not a fact, a diagnosis or a prediction you must act on.
I am not a doctor, therapist, lawyer or financial adviser, and none of this is a substitute for one. Nothing I offer is medical, psychological, legal or financial advice.
Design, video and data visualization work is visual and creative work. I do not audit your data, and I do not guarantee business results, sales, reach or conversions.
You remain the author of your life. You are responsible for the decisions you make, how you show up in a group, the accuracy of the information you give me, and how you use anything you receive from me.
Attending a workshop or training does not make you certified, licensed or qualified to practise anything, guarantee you an income, or specific outcome.
Who this applies to
This Disclaimer applies to anyone who visits my website, books or attends a 1:1 session, joins a workshop, class, group or training, watches my videos or other content, subscribes to my email list, engages me for design, video or content work, or communicates with me by message or email. It applies to paid and free offerings, to live and recorded formats, and to anything I share publicly or privately in the course of my work.
How I collect, use and store your personal information is set out in my Privacy Policy, and I handle it in accordance with British Columbia's Personal Information Protection Act.
2.The two kinds of work I do
I offer spiritual services — readings, workshops and training — and creative services — social media content, UGC, video design, graphic design and data visualization. These are different kinds of work, and the parts of this Disclaimer that protect each are set out separately: sections 3 to 13 cover spiritual, teaching and content work, and sections 14 to 16 cover creative and client work.
Where an engagement includes both, the client terms that apply to the creative work take priority for the deliverables, and the spiritual services language applies to any intuitive or teaching component.
3.Readings, workshops and training are spiritual practice, not statements of fact

Cetadora uses cookies to improve website functionality and user experience.
1. What Are Cookies? Cookies are small files stored on your device to enhance browsing.
2. Types of Cookies We Use:
Essential Cookies: For website functionality.
Analytics Cookies: To track and improve user experience (e.g., Google Analytics).
3. Managing Cookies: You can disable cookies in your browser settings.
4.Not professional advice
Nothing I provide — in a session, workshop, training, video, post, design deliverable or message — is medical, psychological, psychiatric, therapeutic, legal, financial, tax, accounting or other professional advice, diagnosis or treatment, and nothing I provide is a substitute for it.
Please do not delay, stop or change professional help, treatment or medication because of anything you receive from me. Always consult a qualified professional about your physical health, mental health, legal situation or finances.
5.Your wellbeing and crisis support
Spiritual work, group settings and self-reflection can bring up strong emotions, especially around grief, loss and change. Please look after yourself. Take breaks, step out of a workshop or close a session if it becomes too much, and reach out to someone you trust rather than sitting with something alone.
If you have a physical or mental health condition, are pregnant, or have any concern about meditation, breathwork, visualisation, trance or similar practices, please speak to your doctor first.
My sessions, workshops, trainings and content are not a crisis or emergency service, and I do not monitor messages for urgent risk. If you are in crisis or feel unsafe, please contact emergency services or one of the lines below.
Emergency (police, ambulance, fire): 9-1-1
9-8-8 Suicide Crisis Helpline (call or text, Canada-wide): 9-8-8
BC Suicide Prevention and Intervention Line: 1-800-784-2433
If you are outside British Columbia, please use your local emergency number and crisis line.
6.Age & Capacity
My services are intended for people aged 18 and over. If you are under 18, I ask that a parent or guardian book and attend with you, or that you do not book or attend. I do not read for anyone about a third party's private medical, legal or financial situation. Please do not attend a workshop or training while impaired by alcohol or drugs, or in a state where you cannot safely take part or give consent to being recorded or photographed. For creative engagements, a client confirming a brief confirms that they are authorised to approve the work and the spend on behalf of their business.
7.What a 1:1 session is, and what it is not
A 1:1 session is a confidential, private conversation and reflective spiritual practice. It is not therapy, counselling, a diagnosis, a health assessment, an exorcism or spirit removal service, a legal or financial review, or a guarantee of contact with any particular person or spirit.
Confidentiality: I treat what you share as confidential and will not publish or share your story, name or details without your permission. The lawful exceptions apply: I may disclose information where required by law or court order, or where I reasonably believe disclosure is necessary to prevent serious harm to you or another person.
8.Workshops, classes, and in-person events
A workshop or class is group education and reflective practice, not individual treatment, therapy or a personal reading unless I say so expressly. What you take away depends on your own engagement, and I cannot tailor group content to any one person's situation.
Venue and format: I may change the venue, time, format (in person to online, or the reverse), or a guest facilitator where needed, and will give you reasonable notice. If I cancel an event, you will be offered a transfer to another date or a refund of the amount you paid for that event.
Travel and other costs: You are responsible for your own travel, accommodation, childcare, meals and any other costs of attending. I am not liable for those costs, including where an event is rescheduled or cancelled.
Photography and recording: I may photograph or film workshops and events for my own promotion. I will tell you at the start of an event and give you a way to opt out of being featured. Please do not photograph, film or record other participants without their consent.
9.Physical & practical safety
You take part in any practical exercise at your own risk, and you are responsible for your own physical safety and belongings. This includes:
Candles, incense, smoke and fire: never leave a flame unattended; keep it away from anything flammable, children, pets and anyone with breathing difficulties. Follow the venue's fire and safety rules.
Herbs, oils, resins and plants: do not swallow, apply to skin, inhale or burn anything unless you have checked it is safe for you, including around allergies, pregnancy, asthma, medication and pets. Some are toxic.
Crystals, tools and props: some are fragile, unsafe in water, or a choking hazard near children and pets.
Movement, breathwork and meditation: work within your own range, sit or lie down if you feel faint, and stop if you feel unwell, dizzy or distressed.
Outdoor or ceremony settings: respect the law, private property, land access and the environment, and dress for the conditions.
Travel to and from events: arrange your own safe transport, and do not drive if you feel ungrounded or unwell.
If you have an injury, condition, allergy or accessibility need I should know about, please tell me before the event so I can advise — though I cannot assess whether an activity is safe for you.

11. Training & Practitioner development
Where I teach people to read, to work intuitively, or to build a practice or business, the following applies.
No certification or licence. Completing a training means you have completed my training. It does not certify, license, accredit or qualify you to practise anything, and it does not authorise you to present yourself as trained, endorsed or approved by me unless I say so in writing.
No guarantee of results or earnings. I do not guarantee any particular outcome, including income, client numbers, bookings, followers, engagement, launches or business success. Any figures, case studies or examples I share are illustrations, not forecasts. Your results depend on your own circumstances, effort, market and skill.
Your practice, your responsibility. If you offer readings or other services to the public, you alone are responsible for how you practise and for complying with the laws that apply to you — including consumer protection, advertising and privacy law, tax registration, and any municipal licensing or zoning requirements. I do not supervise your work with your clients.
Ethical practice. I teach practice that is intended to support and not harm. I do not support or endorse any practice intended to manipulate, coerce, control or harm another person, or any claim that someone is cursed, hexed or in danger and must pay for removal. You are responsible for the claims you make and the promises you give your own clients.
Your own materials. You may use the frameworks I teach in your own practice, but you may not copy, resell, rebrand or republish my written materials, slides, worksheets, scripts, meditations or recordings as your own.
12.Youtube, social media & other published content
My videos, posts, stories, reels, captions, comments, newsletter and replies are general content, not a reading, a diagnosis or personal advice — even where they seem to speak directly to you. They are not a substitute for a booked session, and watching, liking, commenting or subscribing does not create a client relationship or any duty of care to you individually.
No DM readings. Direct messages are not a reading and are not a confidential session. I read messages when I can, I do not provide free readings by message, and I may not respond to every message. I am not available 24/7 and I am not an emergency contact.
Comments and moderation. I may hide, delete or block comments and accounts on my own channels at my discretion and without notice — including content that is abusive, spam, misleading, or that makes medical, financial or guaranteed-outcome claims about my work that I cannot support.
Availability. I may edit, unpublish, or remove any content at any time, and I do not promise that any video or post will remain available.
Platforms. My channels live on platforms I do not control, and their rules and monetisation policies apply to your use of them, as set out in section 20.
13.UGC, brand partnerships, and sponsored content
Some of my content is created in partnership with brands — including gifted products, paid partnerships, affiliate links, ambassador roles and sponsored video. The following applies to all of it.
I disclose paid and gifted relationships. Where I have a material connection to a brand, product or service I feature, I label it clearly in the content itself — for example "paid partnership", "#ad" or "gifted" — and not only in the caption's fine print, hashtag block or a link. This reflects the disclosure expectations of Canada's Competition Bureau and Ad Standards' Influencer Marketing Disclosure Guidelines, and I apply them to gifted product as well as payment.
Opinions are mine. What I say about a brand or product is my own honest view and experience, and is not a statement of fact about the product's performance, safety or suitability for you, and not a guarantee of any result. My experience may not be yours.
I am not the brand's agent. Unless I say otherwise in writing, I am an independent creator. I do not speak for the brands I work with, I cannot answer for their products, service, delivery, refunds or warranties, and any purchase you make is between you and that brand under their terms.
Affiliate links. Some links may be affiliate links, which means I may earn a commission if you buy through them. It does not change what you pay or what I say about the product.
AI-assisted content. Where I use AI tools in producing content or visuals, I do not use them to fabricate experiences, testimonials or results, and I present edited or synthetic imagery as such.
Accuracy over time. Prices, availability and details in a video or post reflect the time it was made and may change. Always check the brand's own current information.
14.Design services: scope, process and your responsibilities
When I take on graphic design, video design, UGC or data visualization work, the following applies in addition to any proposal, scope of work or agreement we sign.
Scope is what we agreed. The scope, deliverables, number of concepts, number of revision rounds and timeline are set out in the proposal or agreement. Work outside that scope — additional concepts, new directions, extra formats or expanded revisions — is quoted and billed separately.
Approval and sign-off. You review and approve each stage. Once you approve a stage in writing, changes to it are treated as new work. Please check names, dates, prices, legal wording, disclaimers and regulatory text in anything I design before you publish — I lay out what you give me, and I am not responsible for the accuracy of your business information, offer terms, claims or fine print.
Your content and assets. You are responsible for the accuracy, legality and rights of everything you supply — text, logos, photos, footage, customer data, testimonials and claims. You confirm you have the right to use it and that it does not infringe anyone else's rights, is not defamatory or misleading, and complies with the law that applies to your business.
Indemnity. If a third party makes a claim against me because of content, assets or instructions you supplied, you agree to cover my reasonable costs of dealing with it.
Licensed assets. Fonts, stock images, stock footage, music, templates and plugins I use may be licensed to me personally or under a seat or usage limit. Where a licence does not extend to your business, you will need to license it yourself for ongoing use, and I will tell you when that is the case. I am not responsible for a licence you obtain separately.
Timelines and dependencies. Timelines assume you provide feedback and assets when agreed. Delays in feedback, content or approvals push delivery dates, and I am not liable for a missed date caused by a dependency on your side. Rush deadlines may carry a fee.
Third-party platform changes. Platform specifications, algorithms, ad policies and content formats change without notice. I cannot guarantee that a creative will pass a platform's review, stay compliant with a future policy, or perform in the same way after a platform change.
15.Design deliverables, data and accessibility
Data visualization. Where I design charts, dashboards, infographics or other data visuals, I visualize the data and brief you supply. I do not audit, verify, clean, reconcile, model or independently source that data, and I do not provide statistical, financial, actuarial, scientific or analytical advice. Charts I design show relationships in the data as given — they do not establish causation or prove a claim. You are responsible for confirming the data's accuracy, completeness, source permissions and fitness for the decision it supports before publishing, and for any statement you make based on it. Where I flag a data quality issue, it is a courtesy, not a verification.
Design for accessibility. I will follow accessibility good practice on request — colour contrast, readable type sizes, alt text recommendations, label clarity — but I cannot certify a deliverable as meeting WCAG or any other standard, and compliance of the final published asset rests with you and your developer.
Colour, print and screen. Colours may appear differently across screens, printers, substrates and materials. Print proofs and press checks are the client's responsibility unless we agreed otherwise. Physical merchandise and print output may vary within normal production tolerances.
Copy and legal text. Any copy I write is marketing or editorial content. I do not provide legal, medical, financial or regulatory copywriting, and any compliance wording — disclaimers, terms, disclosures, health claims — should be reviewed by your own adviser before publication.
16.Ownership, licensing and portfolio use
Your deliverables. On full payment, you receive the right to use the final deliverables I create for you, for the purpose and in the media we agreed, for as long as you need them. Ownership of the final approved files transfers to you on full payment unless we agree otherwise in writing. Working files, source files, layered files, project files and my templates remain mine unless the proposal says they are included.
Moral rights. Under Canadian copyright law, creators hold moral rights in their work, including the right to be associated with it and to have it kept free of distortion. Where your use requires it, I can agree in writing not to assert those rights — please ask before publication if that matters for your brand.
My portfolio. Unless we agree to a confidentiality restriction in writing, I may show the work in my portfolio, website, social media and case studies, and describe the project in general terms. I will not publish your confidential business information, unreleased products or internal data without your permission.
Third-party assets inside a deliverable. Some elements may be licensed to you rather than owned by you, as set out in section 14. Your ongoing right to use them depends on those licences.
My own brand materials. My templates, systems, frameworks, presets, style guides, course materials and internal documentation remain my intellectual property and may not be resold, sublicensed or distributed as your own.
17.No guaranteed outcomes
I do not promise or guarantee any particular result from a reading, session, workshop, training, recording or creative engagement, including any change in your relationships, career, finances, health, home or circumstances.
For design, video, UGC and data visualization work, I do not guarantee reach, impressions, engagement, follower growth, click-through, conversion, sales, revenue, search ranking, press coverage or any other commercial outcome. Creative performance depends on your offer, audience, budget, platform and market, none of which I control.
Any guidance I offer about your business, brand or creative work is offered in good faith as professional craft input and encouragement. It is not a promise or guarantee of income, growth, clients, reach or success.
18.Your free will and your decisions
You are solely responsible for the decisions you make before, during and after a session, workshop, training or creative engagement, and for how you apply anything discussed. My role is to hold space, offer reflection, teach, and do the craft work we agreed. It is not to make choices for you, and nothing I offer should be treated as permission, instruction or absolution regarding any action.
I encourage you to keep your own professional advisers — medical, mental health, legal, financial, tax — and to involve them in any significant decision.
19.Recordings, replays, notes and intellectual property
Where a session, workshop or training includes a recording, replay, workbook or written notes, they are for your own personal use. Please do not republish, resell, upload, edit into new content, or share them publicly or in a group without my written permission.
The frameworks, materials, slides, worksheets, meditations, affirmation sets, downloadable resources and written content I create remain my intellectual property. You may quote briefly with credit and a link, but not reproduce substantial portions.
Where a replay includes other participants, treat it as confidential to the group as well. Ownership and licensing of client design work is dealt with in section 16.
20.Third-party platforms, links and licenses
I use and link to platforms I do not control, such as Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, YouTube, Substack, Spotify, Apple Podcasts, Calendly, Stripe, Square, Figma, Adobe and my website host. I am not responsible for their content, availability, pricing, security, moderation decisions, outages, data loss or privacy practices, and their terms apply to your use of them. Any mention of a third party is not an endorsement unless I say so.
21.Testimonials and other people’s experiences
Testimonials, reviews, comments and client or student stories I share are genuine and shared with permission, but they are individual experiences. They are not typical results, they are not a guarantee that you will experience anything similar, and they should not be read as a prediction of your own outcome — in a reading, in a workshop, in a business you build after a training, or in the performance of creative work
22.Limitation of liability and your consumer rights
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Cetadora is not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss or damage arising from your use of, or reliance on, my website, content, videos, readings, sessions, workshops, trainings, recordings, design deliverables or messages — including decisions you make or actions you take afterwards, and including loss of income, opportunity, data, reputation or business.
For creative engagements, my total liability to you is limited to the fees I actually charged you for the specific deliverable giving rise to the claim. I am not liable for indirect or consequential loss, including lost profits, lost business, or the cost of substitute design or marketing services.
Where an offering is cancelled by me or cannot be delivered, my liability is limited to a refund of the amount you paid for that offering, or to a transfer or credit, at your choice.
Nothing in this Disclaimer excludes or limits:
any liability that cannot be lawfully excluded or limited, including liability for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation;
your rights as a consumer under the Business Practices and Consumer Protection Act (British Columbia) or any other applicable consumer protection law. That Act provides that a waiver or release of a person's rights under it is void, so nothing here should be read as asking you to give up those rights, and nothing here does;
your right to cancel a contract where a cancellation right applies to it.
My full liability terms are set out in my Terms of Service.
23.Bookings, payments, cancellation, and transfers
Booking, payment, deposits, rescheduling, late arrival, transfers, refunds, cancellation, project-pause and kill-fee terms are set out in my Terms & Conditions and my Refunds & Cancellations policy at cetadora.com/policies, in my proposals and at checkout. Please read those before you book or sign, as they form part of our agreement along with this Disclaimer. Where a session, event or project has a stated deadline for transfers or refunds, or a stated deposit or cancellation fee, that term applies.
24.Governing Law
This Disclaimer and any dispute arising from it are governed by the laws of British Columbia, Canada, and the laws of Canada that apply there. The courts of British Columbia have exclusive jurisdiction, subject to any rights you have as a consumer that cannot be waived.
25.Changes to this Disclaimer
I may update this Disclaimer as my services change or the law changes. The date at the top shows when it was last revised. The version in force at the time you book, enrol or sign a proposal is the version that applies to that booking or engagement, and continuing to use my services after an update means you accept the revised version.
26.Contact
